Lord, You said that if we humble ourselves and pray, You would heal our land. Here is my prayer...

Thank You for the victory yesterday. Thank You for men like Dick Harwood who have gone before me.

Had you not led me, I would not have entered the battle. You have given me good examples to follow and good men and women to go into battle with. You have brought friends and supporters to me out of nowhere. Though our enemies and their resources are formidable, they cannot stand up to You.

Although I will bow to Your will in this matter, I ask Your blessing and that You go before me again into the next election. I am seeking victory for the forces of freedom, victory for the unborn and victory for those who feel that our country is headed for disaster.

I pray for the courage to stand up for the truth no matter how unpopular. Should you grant me victory, I pray that you will always remind me that it is the people's seat in which I will sit and never feel that it belongs to me. I have seen first hand the arrogance of our opponents and the ruin they brought upon themselves and others.

If you are leading, I cannot fail. If you are not leading, I cannot win.
